PODD on Mind Express (DocLock Version)

A software package for printing PODD communication books using Mind Express 5 templates.

• Includes Mind Express 5 (DocLock version) for printing PODD books.
• Comes with Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) for clear visual communication.

• Choice of template type: Direct Access or Alternative Access.
• Direct Access PODD includes templates designed for direct pointing with a whole hand, finger or tool. Some of these page sets can also be modified to accommodate 'pick up' and 'give/show' or partner-assisted visual scanning access methodologies. These communication books are available with varied and scalable levels of linguistic complexity to support language development and meet the motor, visual, and language needs of each user.
• There are 13 different categories of PODD templates ranging from PODD 9 Early Functions, through 12, 16, 20, 36, 40, 48, 70, 90 and 100 Plus Complex Syntax formats. Each comes with instructions guides which can be found under the support tab below.
• Group Books : PODD book templates also include Group books, designed for communication partners to talk to groups of children learning to use aided language. There are two versions of Group books: Vest version, and Book version.
• Alternative Access PODD templates are designed for people who:
  • Experience physical challenges pointing directly to sufficient symbols on the page to meet their communication and language requirements.
  • Templates are provided to make 22 different alternative access PODD books (20 personal books and 2 group books). Support materials for each PODD book include:
    • an information file in PDF providing a detailed description of the language level, layout and vocabulary organisation
    • one or more construction files in PDF that describe in detail how to print and make each PODD book.
    • Videos demonstrating the operational procedures to express and methods to model are also provided for each access method.
