MyTobii
The MyTobii allows you to take
control simply by looking at the screen.

The MyTobii opens the door to communication for
people with very limited movement who previously had no workable means
of input. MyTobii allows you a lot of freedom to move your head whilst
operating the system, so it is also a possible solution for people who
find other input methods, such as a head mouse or switches, too
frustrating.
How it works
Sensors built into the MyTobii system detect where
your eyes are looking, so you can highlight something on the screen
simply by looking at it.
To select the item you are looking at, you can
either press a separate switch, or blink, or look at the object for
(say) 5 seconds to select it.
Communication
The MyTobii system comes with The Grid 2, which
allows you to make and speak sentences with symbols or text. The
MyTobii is aware of the location of the cells in The Grid 2, allowing
it to 'snap' to the closest cell and hence greatly increasing
accuracy.

There are two models of MyTobii system available:
* The MyTobii P10 (pictured above) is the most popular.
It is a stand alone unit with the computer built in, making it more
portable.
* The MyTobii D10 is a desktop model. Unlike the P10,
the D10 does not have a computer built; it is a monitor with eyetracking
and touchscreen input. The D10 is intended for use when a more powerful
computer is needed.
It is also possible to use environment control with the
system, allowing the user to turn on the TV, set the video and dim the
lights - all by simply moving the eyes.

FuturePad
The FuturePad is a rugged, portable tablet PC that
makes a great communication aid.
The FuturePad is a Windows XP based communication aid that is light and
rugged enough to be carried, or can be mounted on a desk stand or
wheelchair. It has a finger-operated touch screen and a battery life of
about 5 hours. A spare clip-on battery can increase the battery life to 8
hours. |

Communication
The FuturePad is supplied with The Grid 2 pre-installed, so it is ready to
use for either text or symbol based communication.
A range of pre-designed communication grid sets is available for The Grid,
or a customised individual system can easily be created.
Symbol communication systems can be very simple, with only a few cells per
page or complex sets of grids with hundreds of pages. Text based systems can
include stored phrases and word prediction.

Backbox
The 'Backbox' range of computer add-ons provide a simple and
cost-effective way to add the specialized accessories needed for
communication systems in a single box.
The Backbox range can be used with most types of computer. They are
primarily intended for use with a portable computer such as a laptop of
tablet computer.

The Backbox can include:
* Amplified speakers for clear reproduction of computer speech
* Inputs for connecting switches
* Radio links for wireless switch connection
* Infra-red environment control unit
Options
There are three basic models of Backbox:
* Backbox amplifier - amplifier only
* USB Backbox - amplifier and switch input*
* USB Big Backbox - amplifier and switch input*
* You can add radio switches and/or environment control to the USB Backbox
models.

The Backbox and USB Backbox are smaller, and are designed for use on hand
held equipment. The Big Backbox is intended for use in mounted systems.
The Big BackBox has a louder maximum volume than the smaller models.
Amplify your speech
To use the Backbox as an amplifier, simply plug it into the headphone
socket of your communicator.
Switch input
You can connect one or two switches to a USB Backbox. For direct
connection, there are two standard (3.5mm) switch ports on the backbox.
You can also get the Radio Switch option, which includes two small
transmitters to put with your switches. This is ideal for switches that
are mounted on a wheelchair, for example.
Environment control
The USB Backbox can have "Gewa Prog" environment control added. This
enables your computer to control electronics in your home (such as TV, DVD
or music systems).

The Tech Touch is a new dynamic, computer
